Here's a before-and-after worth talking about. The old roof was worn down and well past its prime - you can see the faded, weathered shingles from the aerial shots. It was doing the bare minimum. This homeowner wanted something better, and that's exactly what we delivered.
We went with Owens Corning Duration Designer shingles in Pacific Wave. That color is a cool, multi-toned gray blend that gives the roof serious curb appeal while still looking clean and classic. The dimensional pattern you see from above is exactly what sets designer shingles apart from standard 3-tab - more texture, more depth, and a much sharper finished look.
But we didn't stop at aesthetics. This roof replacement included metal W valleys, which handle water runoff at the most vulnerable intersections of the roof. We also installed a deck air intake paired with a ridge vent. That combination creates a continuous airflow loop through the attic - intake at the lower edge, exhaust at the ridge. Proper ventilation like this protects the shingles from below and helps regulate attic temperatures year-round.
A roof replacement done right isn't just about swapping old shingles for new ones. It's about addressing the full system - drainage, ventilation, and materials that are built to last. Every decision we made on this job was about long-term performance, not just a quick fix.
The difference between the dull, flat old roof and the finished product is night and day. Clean lines, consistent color, and a system underneath that's built to hold up for years. That's what a proper roof replacement should look like.
