Most people check their shingles after a bad storm. What a lot of homeowners miss is the trim. Wind can rip roofline trim clean off - and when that happens, it exposes the edges of your roof to moisture, pests, and further damage.

That's exactly what we were dealing with here. The storm took trim right off the roofline, leaving things vulnerable. It's the kind of thing that looks minor from the ground but can turn into a bigger problem fast if it's not addressed.

We got up on the roof, assessed what was going on, and replaced the blown-off trim to get everything sealed back up properly. Part of our process on any roof repair call is a solid inspection of the surrounding area - because storm damage rarely shows up in just one spot.

What we find is that a lot of homeowners wait too long after a storm because they're not sure if the damage is serious enough to call someone. Our take - if something visibly blew off your roof, it's worth having eyes on it. Better to know what you're dealing with than to find out later when water's already gotten in.

Storm season has a way of finding the weak spots. We handle roof repairs and roof inspections all across the area, and calls like this one are a good reminder that rooflines take a beating that often goes unnoticed until the next storm hits.
